First Day of School
This week Emma also went back to her school. I was really nervous on how she would do since she didn’t go back over the summer. I was worried she would not transition well at all. This year she was also moving up to the Primary class. I started prepping her for school a couple of weeks before I knew she would go back. We talked about her teacher, Ms. Jessica. We talked about the new friends she would make, blah, blah, blah. We also talked about how Daddy would take her everyday.
Monday rolls around. She does GREAT! Great drop off, great day, great pick up…EVERYTHING WAS GREAT! Finally by Wednesday she was talking about things she was doing, stories she was hearing and songs she was singing. I am so happy for her. I can tell she absolutely LOVES school! Thank you P.M. and Ms. Jessica for making it a great first 3 days.
Here is Emma on the first day of school. So big and grown up! Thanks Daddy for taking the pictures!
End of the Summer Stuff
We were lucky to get together with my friend and sorority sister, Jen and her son, Charlie for a fun day at Old McDonald’s Farm and swimming at at the Barrs house. We met at McD Farm when it opened and early enough so we didn’t melt from the heat. Charlie and Emma enjoyed sliding, playing on the sand mound, playing in the ball pit, eating lunch, riding the train(that broke 1/2 way), Charlie rode a pony, and Jen fed the deer. After a fun morning at McDonald’s Farm, we headed over to the Barrs house to swim and cool off. Charlie is a great swimmer. He was floating/swimming all around by himself and did great. Emma must have been impressed because afterwards, she started swimming around just like Charlie. Thanks Charlie for helping Emma swim.
This summer our niece, Morgan took T-Ball lessons. This past weekend we were able to go to one of Morgan’s games. She did great. She hit the ball all the way to second base and would also catch the balls when she was at second base. I was so proud of her. Go Morgan!
