Memorial Weekend
Memorial weekend, we headed up to the lake for the start of it. We were greeted by Grandmother, Papa, Lindsey and Dean. We were able to enjoy a lot of time with Lindsey and Dean, especially since we don’t see them often. Emma did a great job playing with Dean and caring for him. She was so sweet.
Saturday morning, we headed out to drive around on the boat. Emma did great. She sat in the front of the boat and enjoyed looking at everything around the lake. The only problem we found was when we were on the opposite side of the lake, Emma decided that she needed to go potty. I told her she had two options: 1-go in the water, 2- hold it until we get home. She picked #2. She made it too.
After a fun weekend at the lake, we headed home. Monday we headed over to the Barrs house to hang out and swim in the pool. Another great and relaxing day. We had great food and great family! Emma was able to enjoy her new sandbox. A perfect surprise! Thanks Nana and Poppy!

3 year check up
Last week we took Emma to her 3 year check up with Dr. Nandwani. We had to postpone it a month, so he could get on our insurance plan since he just opened his own office.
Emma and I headed over after school Wednesday afternoon. After the 45 minute drive and the 45 minute wait, we saw Dr. Wani. He checked her weight, height, legs, arms, ears, nose, throat, etc. He also asked her a series of questions: what do you do when your hungry? Thirsty? what do you do with a chair, book, etc. He also wanted her to draw a circle, and other things. She decided she wanted to show him her name as well. He also checked her colors and other important things for the 3 year check up. She passed with flying colors and is actually above average in his testing. We were very lucky that she didn’t receive any new shots!!! We will go back again for her 4 year check up.
Stats:
Weight- 30 lbs (41%)
Height -35 7/8 inches (18%)
So our little munchkin is short and skinny! Fine by us. I’m sure she will hit a growth spurt soon!
Happy Mother’s Day
This weekend we celebrated Mother’s Day. Saturday was my day. I was able to sleep in until 8:00, which is two hours later than normal. It was very nice. After lounging for a little bit, we headed out to run some errands. My Mother’s Day gift was a shopping spree. I’m really bad at buying myself clothes, so Travis made me buy stuff. He even picked most of it out.
Sunday morning, we headed to church and then off to eat with my parents at Hasta La Pasta. The even was spend with the Barrs eating. It was a great Mother’s Day.
