Zoo Trip
Today we decided to take advantage of a day as a family and head to the zoo. The last time we tried going, we got there by 11 and couldn’t find any parking. We got there early this time. We left Humble about 8:30. We arrived a little after 9. PERFECT timing. The zoo was almost empty. It felt like they were open just for us. We were able to see the sea lion being fed, the snakes being fed (Travis’ favorite), and much more. The animals were upclose and personal, since no one was there.
Emma decided as a zoo memory and souvenir, that she would bring home a fever of 101-102 degrees. At least the morning was a wonderful trip! You must check out the pictures we got. Snakes eating, sea lions, monkeys, giraffes, etc. Click zoo, to see our fun photos.

Thanksgiving with the Yeagers
Today we drove to Huntsville to have Thanksgiving with the Yeager family. Driving up was nice and relaxing, until I discovered that I splattered coffee all over my shirt. I realized it when we got to Conroe. When I noticed, it had already dried. Great.
When we got to Granny and Pop’s we were met by my parent and soon followed by Layne, Amanda, Morgan and Logan. We had a lot of fun playing, watching the kids run, eating and lounging. It was a very fun and relaxing day.Â

Thanksgiving with the Barrs
Since the Barrs are going to be in Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving, we had turkey day at their house on Saturday night. Emma and Candace set up the Christmas tree in Emma’s room, Barry and Emma played cards and drums, Travis and Candace made wine for Christmas, Nanny and I just watched it all. We had a lot of fun hanging out before they left for their long trip.Â
The food was delicious and we were lucky to bring the leftovers home.
Click on Thanksgiving with the barrs for more pictures. I do have a video of Emma playing the drums, but I forgot how to load it. When Travis gets home, I’ll have him do it.

Playdate with Aidan
Yesterday, Emma had one of her classmates over to play. Aiden’s whole family came over, Pete, the dad, Stephanie, the mom, and Aiden. We all had a blast hanging out, playing and eating lunch. We hope to all get together again soon. Click on Playdate with Aiden to see more pictures.

Thanksgiving Feast
Today was Emma’s Thanksgiving Feast at Pines. Candace and I got to the school a little early, so we were able to watch them play outside, have circle time, eat, then play.
It was fun meeting Emma’s friends and hanging out with them. The toddler’s were the first group to go through the line. The food was delicious and served by the upper elementary children. We had turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, rolls and gravy. Emma did a great job eating (she ate more than I expected). Room 2 served pie and cookies for dessert.
After lunch Emma showed us the puzzles, animals and much more. After awhile, we went out to play on the playground.  We had a lot of fun.

Welcome Baby Hop
Last Tuesday, my sister and brother in law, Lindsey and Matt, welcomed their first baby. For 5 months we have been calling it Baby Hop. It is weird to actually know the gender and name.
WELCOME DEAN THOMAS HOPKINS!

Christmas Shopping
The other day we received a catalog for toys in the mail. Emma enjoyed searching through it and circling what she wanted. She has decided that other than purple drums, she want a washing machine, babies, and a umputer (a computer like daddy’s).

Thank you Granny and Pop
Last week, my dad came back from Dallas. He made a stop by Huntsville and picked up a ton of stuff that Granny and Pop had made for Emma. Emma loves it all. Thank you so much. ! :0)

A couple of great pics.
Here are some cute pics of Em.

5 Year Anniversary
This weekend Travis and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary. We both couldn’t believe we have been married for 5 years. It still seems like yesterday that he proposed at my Bens Branch Apartment wearing his dark gray suit and blue shirt. Followed by our beautiful wedding at AUMC, and honeymoon in Vegas. We have had our typical ups and downs that every married couple goes through. During the past 5 years we have done so many wonderful things. I can’t wait to see what the next years hold. :0)
