Halloween 2008
This was the best Halloween since Emma has been trick or treating. The day started with her parade at school. They all wore hand made spider shirts. They were so cute. The legs were each students fingers…
Travis went to work as a priest and his co-workers were vampires. The company had a costume contest and they won!
I went to Hidden Hollow as a hippie with my teammates. We got tie-dyed shirts made that say HHE and Third Grade is Groovy! Everyone loved them.Â

Halloween evening, Emma got dressed in her June, from the Little Einsteins, costume. She was so cute! :0) I think she looked just like her. We headed to the church to do Trunk or Treat. We got back home by dark to hit the neighbors houses, then call it a night. Emma did great going to each door, carrying her own basket of goodies and walking around. She had such a personality. Blessing of the Pets
Today our church, Atascocita United Methodist, held their first blessing of the pets. Travis and I took Darby to have Pastor Andy bless her. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but was happy with the response. A lot of people showed up with their dogs, cats, and hamsters. We sang songs, heard scripture and were blessed. It was pretty cool.

SFA Homecoming 2008
On Friday I left to go back to Nacogdoches for the second time since I graduated in 2002. Jen and I met at Travis’ office to drop a car and ride together. By 3:30, we were on the road to Nac. The car ride went really fast. It is amazing how fast car trips go when you are constantly talking about things and life.
About 7:30 we met Kena at La Carreta for dinner. The rest of the weekend was spent hanging out, visiting the AX house, walking around campus and seeing the changes, tailgate, and the game. We all enjoyed ourselves and are ready to go back next year. Hopefully, more AX alumni will be there. Click on SFA Homecoming to view pictures.

Carving a Pumpkin
Emma and I purchased some pumpkins to carve and have around the house. Em did great until she saw the guts of the pumpkins.
Â
This is when the freak out started. Afterwards, there were tears everytime she saw the pumpkin.Â

Potty Training update
Well, we are 11 days into potty training. Needless to say we have been potty at: Target, Wal-Mart, Panera, Chili’s, Spring Creek, Home, Nana’s, School, church, and probably many more that I have forgotten about. I’ve gotten better with my germphobia in public bathrooms. I figure it won’t kill her, so it is okay.
Em has done great. She has not had any accidents this week. She is intiating the bathroom trips and doing everything on her own. Even washing her hands afterwards. She is even so much better at pooping in the potty too. I am so proud of the progress she has made.
Whooo…..will have a good day at school.

Lindsey’s Baby Shower
This weekend I hosted a baby shower for my sister at our house. We had about 35-40 people that came and showered my sister and her new baby with love and gift. To see pictures go to Emma’s Photos, Lindsey’s Shower
That night the Hopkin Family and Yeager family meet at Rancho Grande for dinner. Then we had the after party at our house. A night of Guitar Hero and hanging out was great! Click on Lindsey’s Shower to view pictures.
