2 Year Check Up
Today Emma had her 2 year check up with Dr “Wani”. She was excited to go and was ready at 8:15 (in her pj’s) to get in the car and go.
When we got there, they checked Emma’s weight, height and head. She is average in all 3 areas.
weight – 26 lbs
Height – 33 1/2 in
Head – 18 3/4 in
After checking her stats, Dr Wani did the language and development test to make sure she is on track and where she should be. He was shocked that she was passing the 3 year old tests. He kept asking what he was going to use next year. I guess he will come up with something new….
Emma had her last shot for awhile. THANK GOODNESS! Emma cried from the second she laid on the table until we were half way home (and we had a 30 minute drive). She still wouldn’t walk or put pressure on her leg 2 hours later. I think she is a little over dramatic. I just really don’t know where she gets that from????? We don’t have to go back to the doctor until her 3rd birthday. Hopefully, we won’t have to go in between.Â
These are a few of my favorite things
After seeing this on someone else’s website, I decided to copy and do the same thing. It will be great to look at in the days, weeks, months and years to come. Here are some things that Emma currently loves.Â
1. A to Z learning zoo; Emma got this from Grandmother and Papa for her birthday. She loves to match the animals to the correct letter. She also loves to sit on the mat and make the noises constantly go.

2. Yogurt; Horizons or the Smoothie kind; Each day Emma gets to Nana’s house, she heads straight to the kitchen for her morning “Yogee”
3. Backyardigains DVD’s and CD; This is what we listen to constantly in the car. The second I sit in the drivers seat, Emma is saying, “Tasha on please!” This will be said continuously until the cd is put on.

April 10, 2006…
God gave us this wonderful gift. We never imagined how exciting, hard, fun, exhausting, and entertaining the next two years would be. I am amazed each and everyday when I see how much Emma has grown, learned and can do. She is a true blessing!
Here are two pics of Emma from a few days old and today! She doesn’t even look the same to me.

2nd Birthday Party
Today we had Emma’s birthday party for her 2nd birthday. Since Em loves the bouncy houses and moonwalks, we decided to have her party at Pump It Up. I hadn’t been there before, but had heard great things about it. IT WAS WONDERFUL! We walked in and I didn’t have to do a thing, but mingle with people and watch Emma play.
I think all of the kids and adults had a great time. Emma got a lot of great gifts. I think we are going to have the next 15 years of parties at Pump It Up. Hopefully, she won’t get sick of it.
Pictures are now up!!! Click on the “Emma’s Photos” link above! Nana and Poppy used their great camera!
