Two new teeth

Finally after days of nasty diapers, no appetite, and a cranky child.  Emma has gotten her two bottom molers.  These were the hardest teeth for Emma.  Nana and I are really glad they are through.  Now we just have to wait for the next two.

My favorite Spot

This is where Emma spends a lot of time at home.  She empties all of her toys out of the basket and sits and reads book after book.  Emma has really formed a love for reading.

Uncle Matt Visits

Uncle Matt came home for a week towards the end of the summer.  Emma loved seeing him and getting chips from him.  Thanks Uncle Matt.

Our Vacation

Travis and I were lucky to go out of town for three days while Emma stayed with Nana and Poppy.  It was a nice getaway to Austin.  I hadn’t been since I was a young child, so it was nice to see the city through adult eyes.  Here is a picture of Travis and I during our restful, peaceful, not in a hurry weekend…..I sure did miss Emma though!

**I promise I will only post about Emma from now on.**

Cutie

This is the cutie right before Travis and I left on our vacation.  She is just so cute.  The mouth open is her “CHEESE” face.

End of School

Today was Emma last day of Weekday Learning Center for the summer.  Emma attended “school” every Tuesday and Thursday since the end of May.  She had a couple of breaks during the summer, but she LOVED it.  School was such a positive experience for Emma and myself.  I never imagined she would transition as easily as she did.  The second session Emma would walk into the church, go straight to her classroom, turn around and wave bye to me.  It made me so happy to know she loved going to school to see Ms. Carol and Ms. Jody.  Emma will be attending school three days a week in the fall.  Hopefully, she will enjoy it just as much!

Dancing Queen

Emma LOVES to dance and listen to music.  We can be at HEB, Lowe’s, eating, church or in the car and Emma is clapping and moving her legs.  It is so cute.  Here is Emma dancing to her Leap Frog Alphabet magnets.  She loves to listen to it over and over.  (Notice the dalmation tattoo on her arm…this was placed on her arm during Mother’s Day out.  They saw the firetrucks!)
