No more bottles
Emma has still been taking a bottle at night…ONLY NIGHT! Since we have finally settled in our new home, I decided it was time to try to get rid of the bottle all together. Starting on Tuesday she has had a certain sippy cup at night with her milk. Tonight was the third night in a row, Emma has had her milk out of her sippy cup. I have officially moved the bottles to the top shelf of the cabinet (which is out of reach). Hopefully, the paci will be as easy when the time is right…
Such a Girl…
I emptied one of my make-up bags and Emma carries it as her purse. Here are a few cute pics of her carrying it this morning.

15 Months Old
Today Emma Claire turned 15 months old.   Weight: 20 lb. 3/4 oz  Height: 30 in         Â
Everytime I look at her I’m amazed at how much she has grown and how much she has learned. She can understand so much and do so much on her own. Emma is no longer a baby, but a toddler/little girl.Â
Emma is also very opinionated. She knows what she wants and when she wants it. If she is tired, she grabs her paci and burpy, gives everyone a kiss, waves bye and walks to the stairs. She just lays down in bed and falls asleep. It is so nice that it isn’t a fight anymore.Â
Emma can also take you/point to want she wants to eat, drink or to play with.  I told Travis that I love the fact that we don’t have to guess what she wants anymore. I can’t imagine going back to the questioning ways of 6 months ago.Â
Some things Emma loves to do are: laundry, dishes, washing her hands, push laundry baskets or boxes around the house, cuddle with Darby or Cheney (my parents dog), splash in puddles of water, play the drums, dance, sing, scream, talk, and laugh. Emma’s favorite toy is some stacking letter boxes at my parents house. She also loves to put puzzles together and challenge her brain.Â
Emma still has her paci, burpy, and bottle. Now that we are in our new house, we will start transitioning away from them. She only has her paci for naps and night time and a bottle only at night. Hopefully, but next month, we will have more improvement. Until then…
Below pictures are some new ones of Emma on her 15 month birthday. The ones in the window is her favorite spot in the new house. We also had to sport the Texas Tech shirt for the Barrs family and Aunt Shelby.Â

Stomach Bug
Thursday night was a very interesting night. Emma went down at her normal time of 8:00. About 9:30, she started whining like she was needing her paci. As I get to her door, I hear this throw up sound. I walk in and she is covered in throw up. Emma was up vomiting from 9:30 until 4:00am. The vomits were followed by hours of dry heaves. We made a bed on the floor of the living room and rolled all over the floor. Finally we got to sleep from 4:00 to 6:15 am. This was the most difficult night of motherhood so far. I hope to not deal with this again. Oh, and of couse, Travis had the bug the same night. Great!
